AraabMUZIK, or Abraham Orellana, a Rhode Island native, has had an ear for beats since he was a toddler. The artist, now 24, started playing the drums at the age of three, moving into keyboard work when he was 10.
AM has proved himself as a stellar hip hop producer, working with artists such as Busta Rhymes, Cam’Ron and Fabulous. He appeared on the David Letterman Show in January offering his Skrillez-like sound to rapper A$AP Rocky’s performance.
The artist recently made his debut as a live DJ, performing a set this past March at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Following the festival, in early May of this year, AraabMUZIK fell victim and was shot during an attempted robbery.
He has since, fully recovered and taken to the stage again, showcasing his talent as a live DJ with his MPC2500 beats at this year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in June.
Coming up from the artist, AraabMUZIK is set to digitally drop his fourth studio album, The Remixes Vol. 1 on July 9th through iTunes. Some great new tracks featuring New Orleans rapper Chase N. Ca$he. You can pre-order the album here.
