“Serpentine” comes from Flamingo Bay, a rock and roll band from Edmonton, who now list Hamilton as their home town. The band is set to drop their first two-song single “Serpentine”, and came out with this “northern swamp rock” to enjoy in the meantime.
This song’s raw vocals pair seamlessly with the rolling rock guitar sound. It’s solid rock music, with solid rock vocals. A fun listen, to get you through hump day.
Having just played at Homegrown Hamilton on July 13th, Flamingo Bay is off to play the Silver Dollar Room in Toronto July 17th.
Kris Gies, lead bass and vocals for the band, says he dreamt of being a professional wrestler, which hopefully explains the introduction in the video (below).
Dillon Henningson on guitar and vocals, dreamt of playing in the NHL. And Vince Rankin, drummer and vocalist, says he never remembers his dreams.
