The Hamilton Fringe Festival has taken over the Hammer and their kick-off party on Wednesday, July 16th at the Citadel Theatre gave everyone a taste of what to expect!
Monkeybiz.ca sent a trio of our top photographers: Jeanne Pickles, Bill Watson, and Deb Watson to cover all the sights and sounds. Enjoy what they captured! More photo galleries will be posted as our talented trio attend plays in the upcoming week.
An outdoor pre-show by The Hamilton Aerial Group set the mood for a night full of sparkling creativity.
The evening was hosted by the beautifully outrageous Shelley Marshall (Hold Mommy’s Cigarette, The Full Bawdy Comedy Show) and featured two minute previews of over 40 shows in the Fringe.
Local municipal politicians got into the act with the “The Hats Off Fundraising Campaign” as they performed scenes from the Shakespearean canon.
A post-event party took place at the Fringe Club (the Baltimore House). The Fringe Festival continues until July 27.
