Ladies, we can all use some pampering in our lives and on Friday, September 26/14, The Divas {Changing Lives in our Community} will make sure that you and your friends get just that as you enjoy a luxurious and enchanting evening called: “The Beautiful You: Martinis, Manicures and Mercedes. The event takes place at Mercedes-Benz Burlington and is in support of BodyMed Boutique’s “The Camisole Project.”
BodyMed Boutique, founder of “The Camisole Project” in Burlington provides a free post-surgical camisole to every woman who is having breast cancer surgery at hospitals in the GTA including but not limited to Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Hamilton, and the Niagara Region. To date the Divas have funded over 1200 camisoles for women who have undergone breast cancer surgeries and they want to double that number this year.
After running this fundraiser for ten years The Divas felt it was time for a change and that is why this year The Beautiful You is taking place at Burlington’s elegant Mercedes-Benz dealership. The venue has hosted many charity events and are one of the main sponsors for the annual Beautiful You event.
The dealership is the perfect place for the evening’s fun as they offer their clientele luxury from beginning to end with a beautiful location and services like the Q Cafe, Q golf simulator and Q spa while you wait for your car servicing. Who are the Divas?
The Divas {Changing Lives in our Community} was established in 2012 as a non-profit fundraising group, supporting local initiatives and other non-profit organizations in the Hamilton/Halton area, to enhance the lives of those living in our community.
They are a group of professional women spearheaded by community champions Lynn Beechey and Sharon Jackman, who volunteer their time and have raised over $1,000,000 for various charities and causes. Every Diva on their committee has been affected in some way by breast cancer, which is why they choose to raise funds and awareness of BodyMed Boutique’s, The Camisole Project.
