I’m generally drawn to pieces that are multidisciplinary, movement based and a little experimental. So when I read about The 10/10/10 Project I was intrigued. To put it briefly, the basic concept of how the creation came about is 10 writers wrote individual pieces which were then given to 10 composers which were then given to 10 choreographers who created a movement piece based off what they received.
I really enjoyed this show and if you like contemporary dance you should definitely check it out. The large cast of 9 are all talented, engaging performers who are fun to watch.
The tone of the piece is cold, reflecting the themes of communication, human connection and human disconnect in the digital age. There is dialogue but movement is the real storyteller.
I’m no expert on these things, what I’m really concerned with is did I enjoy myself and do I think you will too? The answer is yes. Check it out! There’s only two days left to see it!
