Warning us to get past the title leads us to believe that this will be a raunchy romp about all things penis.
It is in fact a convoluted love story that takes us from the first glimpse of the almighty phallus through bad relationships to the inevitable happy ending where the the cock is not all it’s knocked up to be.
Colette Kendall is a very physical comedienne who has crafted a darkly funny tale of one woman’s coming of age in the 70’s. Making us laugh at the nativity of her youth and making us sad when her marriage turns abusive, she is always engaging and able to keep the audience waiting for the happy ending.
Interspersed with dildos and dick jokes this show may not appeal to everyone, but it was a good solid piece of entertainment. Well worth seeing.
