The Hamilton Association for Residential and Recreational Redevelopment Programs (HARRRP) is pleased to announce their 6th annual Gala will take place on Friday March 3, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Liuna Station!
The Gala is HARRRP’s major fundraising event of the year, and traditionally draws more than 300 people to Hamilton’s foremost dining facility, Liuna Station. Guests will be welcomed by the Dixieland sound of the Subourbon Street Jazz Band from Burlington while they sample delicious hors d’oeuvres.
Also on the menu: an elegant four course meal will be served with complimentary wine, during which diners will be entertained by the Hamilton Aerial Group and their amazing acrobatic silk routines from the ceiling rafters above.
After dinner there will be time for shopping at the large silent auction, having your picture taken in the photo booth, even having your fortune told, along with raffles and door prizes galore. Then, more Dixieland music from Subourbon, leading to dancing the night away with DJ Devin of Affinity Productions!
All proceeds raised from the MARDI GRRRas evening go towards HARRRP programs to reduce poverty in Hamilton. Since 2006, HARRRP has been providing programs and services free of charge to the citizens of Hamilton in an effort to reduce poverty and provide opportunities for the needy.
HARRRP’s cornerstone is St. Peter’s HARRRP Community Centre on Main Street East at Sherman where all programs are free of charge. Participants can enjoy pottery, ceramics, or art for example, alongside their neighbours, and with no financial barriers.
In addition, in partnership with the city’s recreation department, HARRRP organizes Seniors’ programs at the Bennetto Community Centre in North Hamilton, and operates an after-school program for children in Grades 6-8 at Dr. Davey Elementary School and Memorial Elementary School.
Tickets for the Gala evening are $100, or a table of eight can be purchased for $750. If you are interested in attending a very enjoyable evening with lots of fun, please contact HARRRP at 905-544-0050 or by email at stpeters.harrrp@gmail.com.
