Storytelling always shines at the Fringe Festival. The limited budgets and small venues lend themselves well to the genre and the rich tapestry of life will always provide interesting stories for the theatregoing public to enjoy. Veteran storyteller Briane Nasimok brings a particularly good story to the Hamilton Fringe this year with Confessions of an Operatic Mute. As the title suggests, it is a look into a fascinating and heretofore little-known profession in the opera business.
As a veteran storyteller and standup comedian, Briane brings a sharp wit to the stage and tells a story that is wildly funny and at times poignant. His relaxed, natural tone draws the audience in and his quick time jumps and asides keep the story interesting.
This is one of the best storytelling performances at this year’s Fringe. Don’t miss it!
