Some of the best storytelling performances at the Fringe festival are simply people with an interesting profession telling their true stories. Caitlin Robson is a professional actress and dramatist who has already done shows in the Toronto Fringe and Second City. She also has another job. She works as a professional Dominant in a BDSM dungeon.
Caitlin opens with an honest discussion of ground rules and consent, and keeps the tone throughout the show. Kink is something that is deeply personal, and Caitlin is at her most vulnerable when talking about her personal relationships in and outside of the scene.
As variety is the spice of life, no show has the same costumes or the same stories. A must-see for consenting, respectful adults interested in a fascinating glimpse into a world that is richly inhabited, though seldom celebrated.
