Complicated Pony is a country song by Midnight Vesta that gives off a folk music vibe with its harmonica sound. Their folk-rock music has sparked a lot of recognition from people throughout Canada, including CBC.
As travelling music, the song talks about feeling happy for those moving along the road but also about being sad that they are lonely and can’t be all together. The sound slows up with the wailing harmonica, like Bob Dylan of days gone by.
It speeds up and reminds me of how life can get fast sometimes too. A great way to vent, listening to this song, if you are on your way back to someone, like they are, to Toronto.
As the band explains, “Pressure can be the death of love, but “Complicated Pony” is a song that says –I love ya, no matter what, and I’ll be here when you’re ready.”
If you like old-timey rock, you’ll enjoy this track and probably their whole second album.
