This book has been described as a cross between Desperate Housewives and Witches of Eastwick. Everyone who is still mourning the cancellation of the TV show Eastwick, would enjoy this book.
Hearing that her mother is ill, Paula Wittmore returns to her hometown of Haven Woods. She brings along her 12-year-old daughter Rowan. Little does she know that a young innocent girl is exactly what her mother’s group of friends need, to bring their numbers back to thirteen. Their arrival leads to a series of events, some shocking, some funny, as the true reason for their summoning back to Haven Woods is revealed.
Old friends and new friends aid (or conspire against) Paula and Rowan. The Thirteen, from its shocking beginning to its edge-of-your seat conclusion is a must read. Whether it’s your first introduction to Susie Moloney or you’ve read her previous three books, you will soon be counting her among your favourite authors.
