The Road to Hope

Earlier this year, I traveled to Cap Haitian, Haiti to document Hamiltonians working with Haitians. I went with Esther Pauls, the director of the Runners’ Den, and Art Duerkson, member of the Joy and Hope of Haiti, to document an annual marathon called the Road to Hope. These local organizations host the marathon, and they frequently send Hamiltonians to Haiti to help construct schools, churches, clinics and orphanages. In the end, we captured over 1,000 images and shot hours of video. We hope that these images demonstrate the optimism and wealth of culture that exist in Haiti.
