Jamie Farr, star of TV’s M*A*S*H returns to the Theatre Aquarius stage this month in The Last Romance, written by Joe DiPietro, author of the smash hit “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”.
Mr. Farr’s previous appearance on the Aquarius stage, 2010’s Tuesdays With Morrie, remains one of the top-selling shows in Theatre Aquarius history, and audiences are sure to love him in this hilarious and heartwarming romantic comedy that reminds us all that it’s never too late to lose your heart.
Mr. Farr first appeared in the 1955 MGM classic Blackboard Jungle, and has since then made countless appearances in films, television programs and theatre, including road companies, regional theatre, Off-Broadway and Broadway.
Audiences still identify him most strongly with M*A*S*H 4077’s Company Clerk Max Klinger, whom he portrayed for eleven seasons, and which has never been off the air since. In The Last Romance, Mr. Farr plays Ralph, who, together with Joan Gregson’s Carol, makes up a charming pair of “young lovers” in their Golden Years that are sure to please.
The Last Romance is directed by Theatre Aquarius Artistic Director Ron Ulrich and stars Jamie Farr, Joan Gregson, Michael Nyby and Moira Wylie. The design team is comprised of Lorenzo Savoini (Sets and Costumes), Louise Guinand (Lights), and Creighton Doane (Sound). Beth Bruck is the Stage Manager and Rob Middleton is the Assistant Stage Manager.
The Last Romance will run until from Jan 30th – Feb 23rd, 2013. There will be a Pay What You Can preview performance on Jan 29th, made possible by Arts Accessibility Sponsor Sun Life Financial. Opening Night is Feb 1st, 2013 at 8pm.
