Love and loss in a time of war: Nocturne lays bare the love story of a struggling composer and aspiring pianist in WW2 Canada. Woven into the love story of Nathan (portrayed by A.J. Haygarth) and Rebecca (Allison Warwick) is the appearance of the mysterious Hope (Cassandra Bowerman). Is she a ghost, a mysterious vision from the past or from the future? Charlie (portrayed by Michael Pearson) rounds out the cast as Nathan’s fellow solider, whose easy going facade hides a deep secret.
Featuring live music and dance, Nocturne explores love, loneliness, and the possibilities that come from letting go and allowing hope to enter your heart.
You have one last chance to see Nocturne, on July 27 @ 7:30pm at the Citadel Theatre – Main Stage, 28 Rebecca Street, Hamilton. Kudos to writer and director Samuel Chang and a stellar cast and crew for a beautiful “made in Hamilton” theatre experience!
Visit the Fringe Festival site for all the details regarding Nocturne and the other amazing plays running until July 28th!
