A passionate night of flamenco music, dance and song took place on July 31/13 at The Pearl Company to a sold-out crowd of music lovers.
The evening featuring the talented members of Fin de Fiesta: Lia Grainger, dance; Alexandra Talbot, dance; Tamar Ilana, voice; and Dennis Duffin, flamenco guitar. The group members are Canadians who recently met in Seville, Spain where they were studying flamenco music and dance. And one of the group members even boasts a Hamilton connection: Dennis holds a Ph.D. in astrophysics from McMaster University.
Fin de Fiesta means “end of the party” and refers to the open jam session that happens at the end of a traditional flamenco show. Hopefully they will return to Hamilton in the near future as the audience loved them!
